Community Rules

Standards for posts, reviews, profiles, messages, reports and AI-assisted content.

Last updated
Applies to
The Fixer app and fixerai.app

1. Where these rules apply

These rules apply to public posts, inspiration, business profiles, reviews, project material and messages shared through Fixer. They supplement the relevant user terms. Tap Media Group operates Fixer; contact info@tapmediagroup.com about content or a decision. Users must be at least 16, with additional legal capacity requirements for contracts.

2. Safety and respectful conduct

Do not threaten, harass, stalk, discriminate, incite violence, exploit children, post sexual exploitation material, impersonate another person, commit fraud or organise illegal activity. Do not expose private addresses, contact details, identity documents or private conversations without a lawful basis.

Do not promote dangerous renovation instructions as safe or bypass legally required professionals, permits or protective measures. An inspiration image or AI answer is not evidence that a construction technique is safe. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.

3. Rights, truthfulness and AI

Post only material you own or may lawfully use. Respect copyright, trademarks, privacy and confidentiality. Do not falsely portray someone else’s work as yours, invent qualifications or misrepresent a generated image as a real completed project.

Label generated or materially manipulated content where required and whenever its origin would otherwise mislead. Review AI-assisted text before publishing it. An AI-generated review cannot replace an actual customer’s experience. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information for automated assessment.

4. Reviews and commercial material

Reviews must reflect your own relevant experience and be factual and fair. No fake reviews, undisclosed business relationships, incentives tied to a positive or negative rating, threats, or suppression of lawful criticism. Fixer may restrict reviews that break these rules, regardless of their rating.

Identify commercial promotions and material incentives clearly. Do not spam, scrape user details, resell lead information, send unrelated marketing without required permission or manipulate engagement, review scores or matching. Buying a lead gives no permission to intimidate a homeowner or reviewer.

5. Assessment and enforcement

Fixer uses automated assessment, including AI analysis of post text and selected images, to classify content, estimate quality and determine visibility. Content can be approved, limited or hidden. Automated assessment can make mistakes and is not a guarantee that all published material is lawful.

Depending on the severity and context, we may remove material, reduce visibility, restrict features or suspend an account. We consider the rule involved, risk, reliability of the information and repeated conduct. We provide the explanation and redress information required by law, including the use of automation where relevant. Urgent protective action may precede notice where lawful.

6. Report illegal content or a rights infringement

Use an available report control in the app or email info@tapmediagroup.com. You do not need a Fixer account to email a report. Include the exact link or content identifier, the facts and reason you believe it is illegal or violates these rules, your contact email where appropriate, and a statement that the report is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Child sexual abuse reports need not identify the reporter where the applicable law allows this.

For copyright complaints, identify the protected work, disputed material and your authority to act. Do not submit knowingly false reports or unnecessarily redistribute illegal or intimate material as evidence. We acknowledge and handle sufficiently specific notices and notify the outcome and available redress as required by law. Relevant legal authorities can use the same contact point.

7. Contest a decision

Email info@tapmediagroup.com with the decision or content identifier, the reason you disagree and relevant evidence. Request human consideration if an automated assessment appears wrong. We consider complaints fairly; statutory complaint, regulator, court and applicable certified dispute-settlement routes remain available.

You can block another user in the app: open the people in a conversation and choose Block, or choose Block on a community post. While a block exists, neither of you can send messages or quotes in your shared conversations, and you no longer see the blocked person’s messages or posts. Blocking also notifies Fixer. You can lift a block under Profile and Blocked users. If unwanted contact continues another way, preserve necessary evidence and report it to support. Reporting alone does not guarantee that a person or every message is immediately removed. Restrictions do not erase existing lawful work-contract obligations.
